All players, officials and spectators should read this Code. If they are in agreement to abide by the Code they should ensure they obtain a printed version from the club sign it and return a copy to your manager. Please keep a copy of the Code of Conduct.

If, after agreement with this code, any player, official or spectator's conduct falls below what is required, the following disciplinary procedure will be taken.

PLAYERS
If any player breaches the Code, the Manager, coaches or club Officials may suspend that player for a number of training sessions or matches as they consider reasonable. If a player continually breaches the Code, his registration and entitlement to play for the Club will be revoked.

OFFICIALS
Breaches of the Code by any official will be dealt with by the Bexley Football Club Committee Members, listed below.
SPECTATORS
If any spectator, parent or carer connected with Bexley Football Club breaches the Code of Conduct they will receive a written warning with regard to their future behaviour. If that person, after receiving a written warning, further breaches the Code, the player whom he/she is connected will have his registration to play for the Club revoked.

BEXLEY FOOTBALL CLUB - CODE OF CONDUCT

All players, officers and spectators must remember that they are representing the Club and its good name. The following matters should be observed at all times

PLAYERS

  • the club expects exemplary behaviour from its players both on and off the field
  • players are expected to play fair, but also to play to win
  • players are expected to encourage their colleagues at all times
  • players must accept the decisions of the management team
  • players must accept the decisions of all match officials
  • players are expected to shake hands with match officials and opponents at the end of each game
  • players must inform the team manager at the earliest opportunity if they are unable to attend any match, training session or other scheduled event
  • physical violence or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances
  • foul or abusive language will not be tolerated under any circumstances
  • all property belonging to the Club or its opponents must be treated with respect
  • players are expected tyo attend the Club's training sessions on a regular basis
  • players are expected to be puntual
  • players are expected to arrive at training sessions and matches with clean kit and clean boots
  • players must wear shin-pads at all training sessions and matches
  • players are expected to pay their Club subscriptions on time

OFFICIALS
Officers have a duty to:

  • uphold the rules and regulations of the Club
  • uphold the rules and regulations of any league or association in which the Club is represented
  • preserve the good name of the Club
  • protect the interests of its members
  • be fair and resonable in all matters affecting the Club and its members
  • encourage fair play by all its members within the spirit of the game
  • ensure that referees and match officials are treated with respect
  • deal with unreasonable or unacceptable behaviour from its members
  • deal with unreasonable or unacceptable behaviour from its spectators

SPECTATORS
Spectators should:

  • stand well away from the touch line at all matches
  • not enter the field of play unless instructed to do so by a match official
  • encourage all players to do well
  • not riducule the opposition
  • not applaud foul play
  • not abuse match officials under any circumstances
  • not use offensive language under any circumstances
  • remember that they are subject to the rules of the game and can be cautioned and suspended from attending matches as a result of bad conduct; such action may lead to the Club suffering disciplinary proceedings.
